Beyond the Brief

Family Man

Family is the anchor. Whether we’re hiking the trails of New Hampshire, exploring a new city, or trading stories over dinner with extended family somewhere along the Mediterranean coast — time with the people I love is where I recharge and find perspective.

Youth Sports Coach

Sports were a big part of how I grew up, and when my son caught the same bug, it felt natural to get involved. I spent several seasons volunteering as a youth coach for baseball, soccer, and basketball — learning quickly that coaching kids requires the same mix of patience, strategy, and encouragement as leading a creative team. These days I’ve traded the clipboard for the bleachers, and there’s nowhere I’d rather be on a Saturday than watching my son play football.

World Traveler

Travel was always on my radar, but marrying my wife turned it into a full-blown pursuit. She raised the bar — and I haven’t looked back. My personal metric: how many bodies of water I’ve waded into. The current count sits at 11 countries and 13 oceans and seas. The map is filling in, but there’s still plenty of coastline left to find.

Beyond Teamwork

Digital Art Director

The best teams don’t just collaborate well — they actually enjoy each other. Case in point: one holiday season, instead of the obligatory lunch outing, our small crew of ten decided to make things memorable. My writing partner and I designed a custom mock music CD complete with company event photos and personalized song titles for the all-female account team. Their gift to the creatives? A subscription to the Beer of the Month Club. No notes.

Sports Fanatic

Digital Creative Director, Interactive Art Director

If it involved a ball, a board, or a finish line, I was in. Growing up I played just about everything — team sports, individual sports, didn’t matter. That love of competition never went away. These days I channel it into golf and snowboarding, and into being a sounding board for a teenager who’s just as sports-obsessed as his dad.

Photography

A good eye doesn’t clock out when the workday ends. Photography has been a personal passion for years — and recently I’ve put it to use shooting sports photography for the local high school football team. There’s something uniquely satisfying about capturing a decisive moment in real time, no retouching required.
